Depends on the wheel size.

The 305 is the measurement in mm width wise.

70 is the aspect ratio which is 70% of 305mm. This is the sidewall so you x2 that measurement and add in your wheel size.

305/70 will measure out different on an 18 vs. a 17 or especially a 15.
