Default Sahara Wheels / 35's

OK... I'm sure the question has been asked and answered but I have looked and went through the "show me your 35's thread" for over 60 pages so....

I have a 2007 Sahara Unlimited. Getting TF 2.5" BB with new Bilstein 5100 shocks along with Spidertrax 1.5" wheelspacers. Was going to put on 33s but for a few bucks more I can get 35s (MT BAJA ATZ). Is it safe to run or can I run 305/70-18 (35x12.5) on the stock wheels?

Should I do TF 2.5" coil lift instead? I don't do a ton of wheelin.

Anybody with the set up and pics would be appreciated.

Thanks

The rim size won't make any difference... I'm running those exact tire on a 17" AEV rim... Same overall tire height, the only thing different is the size wall height and no that won't make any difference in driveability besides a slightly bouncier ride due to less side wall...

I guess I was more worried about the stock width of the rim running that tire?

I know many here do it with no problems.

I'm running 35's on stock Sahara wheels and it is fine as long as you run spacers. The main concern is the wheel width which is 7.5", which is lower than Nitto recommends. You wont have a problem just make sure to do a chalk test to get the tire to ride and wear correctly. 28 lbs cold for me

Can you explain "the chalk test"? I have not heard of that.

Isn't a 305/70 a 33x12.50?
