Default Running 35x12.5" tires on 15x8" wheels?

Guys, last weekend I purchased set of BFG 35x12.5 tires and Procomp 8069 wheels in 15x10. However, today (more than a week after) I was told by local 4Wheel parts store that Procomp does not have 15x10 8069 series anymore . I called ProComp to verify and sure they don't, however, they offered me dame 8069 wheels in 15x8" and the rep said that 35x12.5" tires will fit just fine. What do you think?

Yes it can be done. Many people run 12.50 on a 15x8 wheel. Actually helps when airing down on trails. The bead tends to stay in place at low pressure.
Good luck.

Hm, I would think that with smaller width the bid would pop out much easier than on a wider rim .

nope, the narrower width helps to hold your bead when aired down and jeepers have been purposefully getting 8" wide wheels for this very reason for years.

Thank you!!! You just saved my day . Ok, I am telling my local 4Wheel parts store to go ahead with the 15x8" in ProComp 8069.

Go for it...you end up getting a bit more height from the tire, as well, due to the skinnier wheel.

Here's what mine looks likeAttachment 134767

I have 35k on my 15x8s and they are great. I would ask for some money back as 10" rims are usually 10-20 bucks more per rim. Its worth a try

Instead of asking for lesser price per wheel I will ask them to unmount my existing stock tires from wheels to get the factory TPMS sensor, which than will need to go on the new wheels/tires setting.

^^ agreed... I'm running Procomp 98 series in a 15x8.. I love them. No trouble with fitment and I had no problem getting a tire shop to install them. Factory TPMS fit perfect.
