Im running 37's on a built front Dana 30 (truss, gusset, chromo axle shafts and synergy ball joints and steering - hydro is being built now). I rock krawl and travel with my rig and punish it pretty hard. I have broken 1 Adams drive shaft and that's it. Never had any issues as others speak of. I guess it really comes down to how you build the axle and how you wheel and where you wheel. For the money I have in my axles, I could have gone to D60's.

Quoted for truth.

A point that is often over-looked in the "should I build my D30" debate.

Sleeves, gussets and synergy ball joints. All done for under 1k. Its good enough for me and my needs. For others, a dana 60 isnt enough sometimes.

BOOM! Done.

Really as 'meathead' of a hobby this seems, those who are good at it have a solid natural understanding of applied physics, mechanics and spatial reasoning. How aware are you of the torque applied to your ring gear?
Not saying that's going to save you, buy it will help.
