I have almost the same setup, 4 doors Rubicon on a 3.5"Terraflex with 35" wheels, and my front driveshaft broke today...

It looks very strange the way it broke...

I'm now trying to find what to buy to replace the OEM one. I already contacted a driveshaft specialist around here. I'll see what they will be able to do.

that wasn't caused by the lift though, it looks to me that the driveshaft itself was the problem. You might have hit it on something, but for what I think they are talking about, with a slight lift you usually tear the driveshaft boot when it hits on the auto trans edge, not the skid plate like many believe. This is more likely to happen when the front drivers side wheel is compressed up towards the fender and the front passenger tire is drooped way down. This causes the drive shaft to move closer to the auto trans and hit.

If using stock rims, will need 1,5" wheel spacers.

Do you know if you have to replace the driveshafts to run 35's? Is anyone currently running 35's without replacing the driveshafts?

Also, what do you think is the best lift to still maintain a comfortable street/highway ride?
Teraflex on the lift and as long as you control your wheeling (not just gassing it and spinning the tires), you should not need new drive shafts for a while. I have broken my front one from pulling someone out in snow and mud with chains on. It was covered under the warranty though.
Eventually you WILL want them to be longer or you'll break them, but the stock ones should be OK for a while.
Here is my rig with a 2.5 BB and 3/4 spacers in front woth 35's

If you have a lift and big tires, and you wheel your rig, it's only a matter of time before you rip your boot... or worse!
