What springs were you running?

Alright... now you scaring me...lol. Was that with a Winch or not?

Adding 100 to 200 pounds to your front bumper should not kill your springs (otherwise we could not carry our wives in the jeep.... *ducks flying dishes*).

Was this an X / Sahara or a Rubicon?

Thanks
Tim

Looks like he has too much bumpstop to me, imo, if those are stock springs you shouldn't need a lower bump stop.

x, stock springs, no winch... just the stubby, the stinger and the skid.

i had a 2.5" skyjacker BB on at the time, thats why the bump stops.

I am running a R/R with a Warn winch and my 2.5 lift has not given me any rake to the front. It is level and seems to be stable.

Good to know. I have a 2.5 BB and a new bumper on its way. I was hoping it wouldnt rake too badly.

Does anyone know the weight of the stock bumper?

I believe it's about 36lb so yes, big diff in weight
Maybe the aluminum XHD is a better choice?

Does anyone know why the aluminum XHD not so popular yet? There are a couple of online stores that carry it but not available on the major aftermarket vendors. The weight savings is huge! I would like to see a full end cap option added beside the stubby ends currently sold. I'm sure as soon as I get this system from Rugged Ridge, all of the other brands will have their alum. versions out, just my luck.
Any thoughts?
