Default Rugged ridge xHd rear tire carrier studs

Has anyone noticed that the studs on the rear tire carrier are slightly smaller than the jeep studs? I was told by my local tire shop that the studs are actually metric. they showed me how even when threaded on, the stock lugs wobble on the studs and they gave me 3 metric lugs.

I can't remember what size they were but because I was putting the stock lugs on metric studs, they are actually starting to strip. Is this something that has been corrected since? Do i need an updated rear bracket?

I haven't noticed - but looks like you've given me something to check out in October.

Mine tightens down perfectly, no complaints here.

mine tightened down fine at first but after a few times of the tire on and off, I noticed the threads stripping.
