Default rugged ridge XHD Rear bumper?

what do people think about it? i don't need a carrier, just a bumper. i have their front and like it..is the rear a well built piece of steel?

how do the lines flow into the fenders?

any powdercoat issues?
thanks

steve

Here's some pictures of mine. It seems to be a pretty sturdy bumper. I did have a slight problem lining up a few bolt holes that i ended up having to re-tap. i've only read about one other person with this same issue.

hope this helps.

found this for ya, too. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ged+ridge+rear

do a search there's plenty of threads about it.

I have it and love it. Just ordered the carrier to finish out the look. I didn't have to retap any of holes, but came damn close. Took a lot of loosening and shifting to get everything to line up. I'm concerned that when I go to put the carrier on I may need to retap. If your not doing the carrier then no issue there. Other then being a pain to install, it's great. It seems to flow nicely with all the existing lines.

Is the Jeep stay level after the install ? or you need to level the JK again to match the front ?

I put my lift in after the bumpers and I didn't really notice any leveling issues.

Had mine for 6 months now and I really like it. Also have the tire carrier and it works great. I had some issues getting everything to line up but never had to re tap any. What helped was placing a screw driver / punch through the holes and trying to leverage it into position that way while keeping all the bolts loose on the other side.

I was thinking of getting the RR front/rear bumpers but after a lot of other looking around I think I'm going with the OR-Fab ones. The OR-Fab rear bumper has WAY better looking lines to me. The thin angles on the RR one look lame to me. The OR-Fab one has nice thick sides and lines; seems to fit the Jeep a lot better than the RR one.

I have had mine for about a month or so and love it! I did the front first but I am so glad I got the rear. I had no issues with lining it up either, just loosen everything and a little patience....an extra hand helps too.
