A new version has just come out that I'm planning on ordering

XHD Gen II Swing & Lock Tire Carrier, 07-14 Jeep Wrangler (JK)

I know it's been awhile but I'm curious. Did you ever order the Gen II and if you did what are your thoughts on it? I'm looking for a good tire carrier and I like the looks of this one.

I've had GenII carrier for almost 6 months Now. I have it installed on xhd aluminum bumper. I love it so far. No ratteling, easy install. I got 35" tire on it and it works great. You can angle the tire mount if you want.
