I have them mounted by the windshield and they work really well. They are high enough to use them to pull yourself up into the Jeep. They don't obstruct the view or dangle while driving distracting you. The one thing I found out the hard way is use some lock-tite on the bolts. They do rotate slightly every time you use them and can eventually loosen the bolt. I went to use it to get in one day and the bolt came out from the A piller. It had just unscrewed itself. I reinstalled with Lock-tite and haven't had any more problems.

I've got them in the windshield corners and on the rollbar. They work fine and get used for mainly helping passengers in and out.

I had one on the driver side rollbar but took it off since my hands are usually on the wheel. Rear passengers seem to like the long handle that attaches across the soundbar too.

Just keep an eye on the windshield bolts, I lost one after it loosened and rattled out. Fortunately Lowe's has bolts that are the same size & thread.

I have two sets of these, ones up front from the A pillar to the roll bar and then in the back attached to the sound bar bolts for the rear passengers. I like them but they don't get much use...yet. Still no lift or tires and I have the factory side steps still...not too hard to climb up into my Jeep at the moment. I plan on getting a velcro set to go on the rollbar for the front doors still.

Do you find that the windshield mounted handles are not ideal or are you looking to add the roll bar handles just for good measure?

Wifey likes them, especially after adding the lift. However, I didn't want them in the recommended location because they seemed like they'd be too close to the windshield so I mounted the front ones here:

They are just a little tight right now. Not a lot of "finger space" between the handle and the pillar but I figure that will loosen up a bit over time. They already "given" a few millimeters and a few more would be just right. Wifey uses her side every time she hops in the Jeep so I'm good to go. Also, they don't get in my peripheral vision like I think they would if they were fully mounted on the roll bar like the back seat ones are:

I bought a set called "JK-Rigrip" on eBay from a Canadian company called edgs global solutions. Expensive but great

What type of nut and bolt did you use? Or did you skip a nut an just force the bolt in? Thanks!

No nut but I did use a tap to accept a 1/2" bolt.
