Rugged Ridge windshield grab handles

Rugged Ridge windshield grab handles
I was looking at grab handles and I noticed that the Rugged Ridge "sound bar" bolt-in handles can also be mounted in the corner of the windshield between the A pillar and the front roll bar...
It seems to be that this would be a much more convenient place to grab than one mounted on the roll bar for the front passengers.
Has anyone mounted them in this position? I've very curious as to how they work and if they impede visibility at all.
Thanks!

I've got the twenty dollar ones made by them and have them mounted on the passenger side on the roll bar, front and back. They aren't obstructive at all and they actually look pretty good. I have a buddy that rides with me a lot when we wheel and he is always very appreciative of them they're VERY sturdy, and all you have to do is strap the velcro up and you're done!

Are these the regular RR grab handles, just mounted by the windshield?
If so, how did you mount them?

There are the bolt-in sound bar side handles. The can also attach to the top bolt on the A pillar and the bolts on the front roll bar just inboard of the visor mount. It seems like a much better location to reach in and pull yourself into the vehicle. The roll bar handles don't appear to be in a very optimum place (at least up front). Too far back and too far out.
I'm just concerned that one of these might be annoying on the driver's side. I'd love to hear from someone who's installed them in this position (if anyone actually has).

i originally had them installed on my frame but then saw a thread about moving them. i took the straps and put some small holes in them for the bolt to go through and used a lighter to burn the strap that i cut so it wont tear. then just installed them. picute of it is in my album

I took my $20 smittybilt ones and cut tiny slits in the handle strap ends, stuck the sound bar bolts in the holes about half way, then heated the strap with a lighter a around the bolt to burn the frayed cut to make it strong again. It worked perfectly. I don't see why it wouldn't work for the windshield too.

That's exactly what I'm talking about domingo. How do you like them in that location?
I could build by own handles but all four Rugged Ridge handles are $30 so I really don't think it's worth the time or bother to make my own.
