Rugged Ridge Light Bar experiences and uses
I'm thinking of buying the Rugged Ridge Windshield Mount Light Bar for basically using as an additional cross bar for roof racks on my hard top. It seems like it is would be strong enough. I love how clean it looks and how it was designed.
My two questions are for people that have this light bar:
1. Have you used it as sort of a roof rack for lighter loads such as kayaks and does it work well?
2. Does it add a lot of wind noise with either the hard top, soft top, or no top?

I saw Castalone's JK this weekend and he has that light bar but his is slightly modified and looks like a pre-runner style lightbar. I'd go look him up and check it out.

Well I went ahead and installed the RR light bars on my wife's and my own JK's. I made some 1-1/8" crossbars and uprights from aluminum for the lightbar. This way it is the same height as the roof racks on the hard tops and I can mount any roof rack accessories (kayak holders). Also still able to remove the freedom tops. Rock solid!
