Default Rubicon suspension vs 2.5" lift-Wrangler Sport

I'm looking to lift my 2014 sport. It is my understanding that if I use some rubicon takeoffs on my stock sport, it will raise it between 1.5" to 2.5". My current springs are 14/55. I am looking for takoffs that are 19 front/59 back.
What would be the difference/advantages/disadvantages of rubicon takeoffs, vs a 2.5" lift kit? Any other advise would be appreciated for the newb.
Thanks in advance for the help.

What ive found rubi take offs are $350 bucks ive seen people asking. Some 2 inch lifts are around the same. Personally a 2.5 max travel rock crawler is what im going to be getting. Alot of money though

I have a 2013 JK, I just finished swapped a jku's coils for mine. My coils were 13/55, the Sahara jku was 17/59. I officially now have a 1 3/8" factory lift for 60 bucks. Not worth the rubi shocks I think..

thanks for the info so far. I'm hoping to keep the cost down by getting stiffer coils so I can spend the money on new wheels. The stock wheels are just pathetic. Do you see any advantages of changing out the base model shocks for the rubi socks too?

I have a set of springs and shocks I can sell but might be better if you can find a local set. Mine are 17/59 from my unlimited sport.

I went from 13/55 to 18/59 and gained 2" in front and a tad over 1" in back. Got rid of the rake. Also swapped in Rubi shocks. The ride is so much better and very reduced amounts of nose diving and rear squatting. The shocks are a very good improvement over the stock sport shocks.
