Default Rubicon express and evo shock relocate?

I am trying to plan out how my new rubi is going to start developing and I have a couple of questions. I plan on going with a rubicon express standard 3.5" and I am planning on putting on the evo rear shock relocator and skid plate. For any and all people running this combo what shocks are you running? were you able to just run the shocks that they sell? Evo states "This kit may require new (shorter) rear swaybar endlinks and/or coil spring retainers.", did you have to replace either of these? I am just trying to plan out this build as cost efficient as possible, I want high quality products but I don't want have to re buy things like a second set of shocks, or get the evo relocator and be half way through and not be able to finish because I don't have the needed parts. So any and all help much appreciated.

I think with the 3.5 R.E kit you should be fine, but I will check with Mel in the am and get back to you. If there's anything else we can help you with, please feel free to PM your # and we will be happy to help.
Thanks,
Joe

I would get the shocks for the RE 4.5 lift to be safe. I have TF 3'' springs with procomp shocks designed for their 4'' lift and they work fine. Also if you get a rear track bar bracket instead of a new rear track bar you might have to do some drilling to it to get it to fit with the evo skid on the driver side, but noting major. It'll become clear as your doing it.

I just had rubicon express monotube shocks put on my 07 Sahara and the ride is great! It's much better than the stock ride. They are mounted upside down and look bad like that. Drove it a little over 100 miles with no issues.

If the skid plate moves the mount up, wouldnt you want a shorter shock, not a longer shock? If I got the shocks for the 4.5" lift wouldnt they be be an inch to long right off the bat, then with the relocation it would be another 1.5" to long, totaling 2.5" of unneeded legnth.

I got the Tera Flex 2.5" budget boost with shocks. After a year, I got coilovers in the front and the Rock Star skids. I kept the Teraflex 2.5" shocks in the rear and used the sway bar endlinks from the kit in the rear, they are originally supposed to be used in the front. I'd give Northridge or EVO a call, they're good at figuring out these things since they see many different types of frankenstein lifts.

Thanks for considering The Off Road Evolution RockStar Rear Shock Relocation and Skid

There is a very simple calculation you can make to ensure that your current setup will work with the EVO RockStars without change.
Just a tape measure and some simple basic math, all taken at ride height in your driveway.

*How much shock shaft do you have showing, Measure (picture 1)
*What is the mesurment from axle pad to solid bumpstop on frame, measure (picture 2)
*Subtract the bumpstop length from the shock length. If the number is 1.5+ inches, bolt it on without need for changing any shock lengths.

Note: If you have a shock where the shaft is covered with a boot. Remove the lower shock bolt from the axle. Compress the shock fully up and measure from the shock mount on the axle to the lower shock bolt hole while the shock is fully compressed. This would be equivalent to picture 1, shock travel.

Joe I had seen that in a previous post, my problem i sI dont actually have the lift yet, so I cant check. I am trying to get input from guys that have already done it, to try and avoid having to rebuy shocks if the ones that RE recommend for there lift dont fit with your product. I spoke to someone local who has a similiar setup and he said that they get close to bottoming out at full compression but hasnt had any problems yet. He also mentioned that he used the stock swaybar endlinks from the front on the rear.
