Rubicon Express 3.5 inch lift
#11
I put a RE 3.5 inch super flex on in July and have had no problems so far. The bushing issue was with a bad batch and the issue has been resolved from what I have heard. I have called the tech line several times and always get through without an issue. Of course they did tell me that i would not need a new driveshaft yet mine ate itself by the end of August.
35 inch tires run well on the lift however I have a very heavy rugged ridge rear bumper with swing away as well as a heavy cargo rack and that has weighed my rear end down a bit. What i mean by that is my rear end is almost 2 inches lower than the front. So... Even if you have a 2dr (like I do) i would go with the 4dr kit. The only difference in the kit is the coils which will give the 2dr an inch more lift.
In addition i do get a little rubbing on the inside of my rear fenders (I have bushwhacker extended flares) when off roading. I will probably order the larger coils and may get a 1 inch body lift to remedy the rubbing.
Other than that I have been satisfied so far, and it was very simple to install.

With a 2 door automatic, the RE 3.5" standard lift will result in:
$1000 for front and rear driveshafts
$600 for front lower and rear upper adjustable control arms
$? to remove cambolts and weld on washers
So, it ends up not being much of a budget lift.
If you do a Teraflex 2.5" lift and add a JKS adjustble front trackbar, it would cost $575 instead of $579. Then, you add the cost of shocks to either one.
If you do the Teraflex and JKS now with the Northridge4x4.com Holiday6 code for 6% off, you are at $540 shipped.
If you do the Teraflex 2.5" on your 2 door automatic, you won't need to do a rear driveshaft and rear adjustable control arms, and if your shocks aren't too long, you will be able to skip the front driveshaft and front lower control arms.
So, the Teraflex 2.5" approach results in a $1600 lower budget allocation. That is enough to regear your rig to 5.13s and buy a Superchips Flashpaq programmer, or it goes a long way towards a Dynatrac front Dana 44.
Later, when you upgrade to 37s, all you will need is flat flares and a 1" body lift:
