Default Rubicon Express 3.5 inch lift

So im thinking about putting on the Rubicon Express 3.5" lift. Its the cheaper one about 579.00. I know you get what you pay for. What i plan on doing is once i get it paid for ... 4.5 inch lift and 37 inch tires with a new dynatrack front end. Right now though i dont want to get too crazy with it and only do light offroading and some beachin. Does anybody have this particular lift and how do you feel about it? Im not looking for the ultimate hardcore off-road lift right now but as far as street and light off roading use would i be ok?

I have that lift on my 09 running 35s and I love it. It flexes so well that I get asked all the time what kind of lockers are you running. I follow the rubis all over the place with no trouble at all. I will try and edit this in a bit and stick a picture in here of it.

Forgot to mention that I got adjustable control arms front and rear as well as adjustable trackbars front and rear.

I have the RE 3.5" super flex on mine with 35's.

Haven't had a chance to put it through the rocks, but very soon.

If I were you, I'd save a little more, research a little more, and then go forward with a purchase. Get a quality lift. You won't regret it later.

Welp, you could always add adj arms to the kit later if your not happy with the handling. Some people are ok with the cambolts, some not. Just know that you'll have to cut slots in your control arm brackets to adjust your castor. This will need to be fixed later on if you decide to install adj front lowers. Thing is, some peeps may not know this when you get a kit with cambolts. Just something you should be aware of.

Of course though, you could run the kit without cambolts and see if you can live with the flightyness of the front.

That is the lift i run on my JK with the RE monotube shocks on 35's. does very well, although i did not add the cam bolts. I will probably upgrade the control arms later on down the road. I think its a good lift for the price.

Default thanks

thanks for the advice. im going for it and plan on running 35s by january. I think going with a cheaper lift now will give me time to build up some other stuff first before getting too crazy. like replacing the drive shafts and i would really like to stick a dynatrack in the front so who knows but thanks again the pics and stuff

Default Rubicon Express

Stay as far away as possible from RE. The customer service is terrible. Besides there are way better kits out there.

Default Rubicon Express

I have the RE 3.5" Super Flex kit in my 2010 Rubicon and here are my thoughts on the kit:

1.) Good ride w/ descent flex

2.) Rear brake lines are too short if u run any type of long travel shock, I've also heard bad things in regards to the longevity of there control arm bushings which I had problems with in my TJ (no warranty)

3.) Customer service is horrible, I broke the sway bar lower link bullet ($9.00 part) while drving down a gravel road in 2WD on a oilfield lease road, kit was less then 6 months old rarely off road. I called RE to ask for warranty and the immediate response from them was "No Warranty but here is the part # so you can purchase a new one".......... I was choked, this was my 2nd lift kit I purcahsed from them in the past 4-5 years valued at close to $4000 combined and that's the service i get???? I can assure you it will be the last kit I purchase from them, in my opinion STAY AWAY as they don't deserve your money.

I have the lift. My only concern is the bushings. I have replaced them twice now, but am told the most recent are of better quality. Time will tell. Good luck with your decision.
