Default Rubicon Dana 44 axle shaft lengths

The rubicon dana 44 axle shaft are different lengths. I have read that the driver side is longer and also the passenger is longer. Can someone please verify for me which side is longer? Can the sides by swapped??

Stand in front of your Jeep and it should be pretty obvious. Drivers side is shorter. Axle shafts meet at the differential (the larger round part). Definitely not interchangeable. If you get new shafts, they have to be for a Rubicon as those are a unique length.

On the project-jk website, Wayalife states that the driver side is the longer side??

He was talking about front shafts, your link is referring to rear.

Really, just look at your axle. It can't be more obvious.

I am pretty sure the OP is referring to the rear shafts. A blind man can tell the front shafts are of different lengths.

On the Rubicon the rear passenger (right side) axle shaft is slightly longer than the rear drivers (left side) axle shaft. This is due to the way the carrier and locker are setup.

Of course I was talking about the rear. In your post you state that the passenger is longer but in the link I posted, he stated that the driver is longer.

Pretty sure the passenger side is longer.
I'll be pulling my shafts this weekend and I can let you know for sure.

Regardless, all the shafts on the rubi are of different length and cannot be swapped from side to side.
