Default Rubicon Axels vs pro rock or currie

Whats the going price for jeep rubicon axels? Or is it better just to wait and make a big investment?

I waited it out, and went with pro rocks. Absolutely worth the wait. These axles are worth every penny.

You can typically find rubicon take offs for $2500-$3000. If you are lucky they will be set up with the gears you want as well as c gussets and maybe a truss. You can do a pro rock 44 and trail 60 for under $10k and will be stronger and set up ready to go for you. Full bore front pro rock 60 and a rear 80 will run you abourt $17k.

It really comes down to what you are going to do with your rig, tire size, and your budget.

fwiw, you can build up the D44 housings fairly cheap and they will plenty strong. I have about $250 invested between a truss, sleeves, LCA skids and gussets in my front axle, and I am very comfortable beating on it with 37's. The rears have a stronger 3" tube but will still benefit from a truss to reduce deflection and strain on your gears. Add some chromo shafts to the package, and you will have a pretty stout set up.

The benefits of a D60 in the rear are very obvious between the larger shaft and ring gear, but a built stock front housing should be plenty unless you really need the added built in caster of an aftermarket d44.

Just my thrifty take on the whole situation

what rubber are you looking to run?

Your running 37" KM2s on a Dana 35? Anything done to it re-enforcement wise?

I personally have D3o front right now with teraflex sleeves and gussets, nitro 4.88 gears and teraflex diff cover. I will run that till I can save up for the Tera44 HD or it takes a crap. The rear Is D44 and I have Nitro 4.88 gears and Teraflex Diff Cover, but I will be doing the Truss on the rear and some Factory Ten rear Shafts.
