Default Rubicon 3.5 Lift help

Hey All,

Need some help with my Rubicon Express install.

My JK as follows:

Tranny: Manual
Lift: RE 3.5
2 DR Hard Top

Ok here is the problem,

When I first got my JK, I decided to lift and got myself the RE 3.5 with Rancho 9000XL shocks, After installing the lift I noticed the rear sagged a bit due to the added weight of the rear Warn & tire carrier. So I ordered myself a 0.75 rear coil spacers and thought why not order a new set of front and rear drive shafts from RE 1310 Heavy Duty since I have ordered all my parts from RE.

Before installing the new coil spacer and shaft all was ok except for the angels of the stock shafts which is why I ordered the new ones.

After installing the new shafts and spacer, I had issues with slight rear vibs and wobble which was due to the angels of the shaft. Fixed that and no more vib's.

No for the other problem I have noticed:

I decided to take my new modified JK on an easy trail and noticed a strange noise from under which is hard to track, it sounds like something is loose. Kind of a clunk noise. The scary thing is that it sounds like somethings is about to break. So I ended my little trail and decided to try another test.

I drove over a speed bump and noticed the same noise again from the rear end on my JK, It feels like metal to metal which is really annoying me and driving me mad.

I noticed when I start of in 1st gear the gear shift wobbels a bit and to cut it short she does not feel right. I also tried sharp turns and noticed the same noise again

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? This was all after the new shafts and coil spacers, Or is this normal due to the spacers? Or could it be the angels of my pinion causing this? Having bought the RE the only bummer thing is the kit only comes with upper front & rear adjustable control arms which I am hoping aint a big problem.

Dont know much about the RE lifts but check for things like, coils hitting the track bar, track bar bracket bolt hitting rear bump stops(not sure how that lift addresses the track bar relocation) Track bar hitting rear shock. These are just a few common problems with other various lifts.

The spacers should not cause any noise. Have you checked the torque settings on all the bolts? Specifically track bar and shocks?

Well after banging my head against the wall found the problem.

First my front disconnects where rubbing on the front right coil. Got that sorted out and a new cluck. So another trail and found my rear track bar was in contact with my rear right shock and coil spring.

Reason: Well since I ordered a rear adjustable track bar I thought I would not need to use the bracket that was supplied with the kit. But I was wrong so I installed it and fabricated a new re-location bracket for the right shock rather then buying one and no more problems. By the way, just to let you all know that 3.5" lift will rub on the rear tub no mater how far you bring back your diff using the adjustable arm's. Plus a tip for all.

Rather then shaving the rear tub, you can actually just tap it inwards which solves the clearance issue plus looks better then shaved.
