Default Rubi Shocks vs Sport Shocks

Getting ready to install the AEV 2" budget lift and was curious if I would be well served to pick up some Rubi take offs while I am installing the kit to replace my 2013 JKU shocks? Is there a noticeable difference in the two and will the Rubi shocks provide a better on road ride for my DD?

Thanks!

You have to provide the front and rear spring numbers, just post the last two numbers of the front and back springs.

I believe the numbers range from -
Fronts 14-19 w/ 19 being the stiffest/ tallest.
Rears 54-60 w/ 60 being the stiffest/ tallest.

Find 10 anniversary rubicon 2013 with a tow package and hardtop.

I recently sold the stock springs from my JKURX. I had 19/60. I do have max tow.

Well you had the max JKU suspension, the only stock spring set up that is bigger will be off a 10A rubi from a 2013.

So do the numbers on my springs matter in terms of the numbers I am looking for on the shocks? I will have to wait until tomorrow to check out the springs.

Yes for sure! 100%. Check the last two numbers on each. You might have the info on the inside driver door jam.

I was not aware of any difference in rubi shocks regardless of what the rubi spring numbers were

Yes, if you can get a set for a decent price, then do so. I ran Rubi shocks with my TF BB for quite some time on my previous jeep. The cylinder themselves are much beefier and the ride is far better. If they want more than $100 for all 4, then I would just spend the extra $$ for something else.

I don't think the spring numbers have anything to do with shocks. I think all rubi shocks are the same. I replaced my x shocks with rubi shocks. Not sure if the length was much different but the rubicon shocks are bigger diameter.

If your talking springs, you want to go with 19/60 or 19/59 if you can find them. Most people do not realize that Jeep uses a crap ton of configurations depending on the jeep and options. You can easily find a sport and a rubi with the same low numbered springs springs. Just because they came off a Rubi or Sahara, means absolutely nothing….
