Rubi shocks/springs

Rubi shocks/springs
I am putting on a TF BB. I also have the oppertunity to buy Rubi shocks/springs from a member here. I am trying to figure out if it is worth $100 for the Rubi shocks/springs. The JK they came off of has the tow package (HD springs (rear) with same shocks?).
I have a longish thread in the stock section, but thought it might be better suited here.
The info I need is:
Are the stock Rubi shocks/srings better than the stock X shocks/springs?
If so, are they $100 better or would that money be better spent elsewere?
The urgancy is, I want to put the TF BB on this weekend (tomorrow), so I need to either buy the Rubi parts or just use my X stuff.
Here is a link to the original thead:

Thanks,

Rubi shocks
The Rubicon shocks are very good on and offroad plus they are about one inch longer than standard shocks. The only issue you might have is they do ride stiffer than standard but it is not bad at all. The springs are better too but I don't really know why. Hope this helps. $100 bones sounds like a ok deal.

Very odd. They do seem to be the exact same length.
So, if the coil springs are the same on all the JK's, except as part #'s..so there's no more lift with a Rubi coil, and the shock LENGTHS are the same on all the JK's...just valving /construction differences, there's no point in using Rubicon coils or shocks for a lift application like BB.
It would appear then that a BB with new longer travel shocks would be the way to go.
I was able to get only extended/compressed lengths for Rubicon Expresses' lift kit shocks (They sent me a catalogue), and Skyjacker's lift shocks.
I have them all in an Excel spread sheet.
Oddly, most of them have compressed lengths even shorter than the OEM shock's Front (Still don't know the OEM compressed REAR #), and barely any longer than the same OEM extended lengths.
The 2" BB's and the 3.5" Suspension lifts even used the same shocks.
Decent shock travel #'s didn't appear until 6-7" lift kits.
Very odd.
If some one knows how to post a spread sheet, I'll post it.

I'm putting a Daystar 1 3/4s leveling BB on my X. At the same time I am putting on the coils and shocks off of a Rubicon (got them free). I don't know about coil and shock lengths, but I do know the Rubi coils are thicker (by caliper measurement) than the stock units. I'm sure it'll stiffen the ride (fine with me) and probably add 3/4s" or so in height.

Here are the part numbers for all spring combinations in the JK. You be the judge if the Rubicon has different springs than the X. You can get more info here:

Very good resource.
OK, I know know how to read the VIN Codes....also useful.
The shocks are different part#'s as expected...as that's detailed in the other literature.
The 2wd Coils are SOMETIMES a different part #, but, the 2 Dr and 4 dr and X, Sahara and Rubi's seem to take the same part #'s for coils, MOST of the time. I would have thought the 4 dr's coils might be a different part # all of the time.
So, it looks like the factory installed whatever was on hand, and as long as it was a 4 wd, it got any of the listed coils, pot luck.
The Rubicon's stats for ground clearance etc are the same as the X's and Sahara's, once you factor the tire options...so, the Rubi's coils should not be expected to be longer/provide more lift.
IE: There's no lift related advantage in going to a Rubi coil/shock as far as articulation goes, it might ride better, but the wheel travel will be the same.
