Default RR XHD Rear Bumper Question

Installed my RR XHD Rear Bumper last night and it looks un-level to me. This is the second one of these bumpers I ahve installed and consider it a fairly easy install. The passenger side appears to be lower compared to the fender flares than the driver. The gap between the body and the bumper seems to be wider on that side as well, but all the holes line up??? Any one else had this issue or ahve any thoughts? I will post some pics to help with the visual

Mine is exactly the same as yours, being Type A and all I've tried everything, even took it off and reinstalled... but still about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch difference from passenger to driver's side. I gave up, everything is tight and solid and only I can really tell it is not "perfect"...

I had the same issue..... you have 2 options.... have RR send you a new passenger side mount that has a raised top flange on it or simply put some washers or some type of spacers on top of the passenger side mount to raise the bumper height.

If I recall our bumper sat a good 1/2" lower on the passegner side..... even when the tire mount wasnt installed.

Thanks for all the input. I tried everythign I could think of last night, but it was all for not. I have sent the pics to Omix-Ada to see if they ahve any suggestions. I know it will drive me crazy and no one else will even notice. I was thinking of "hiding" it with teh tire carrier, maybe an option if RR has no fix. Thanks again

Thanks for posting this. This has been driving me crazy. Every time I looked at the rear on mine, it didn't look level and I was thinking it was the Jeep, not the bumper that was not level. Now I'll take a closer look at the bumper. Don't know if it's worth fixing though.

Mine is the same way. On the passenger side it is about 1/2" lower than the driver side. I have the carrier so you really don't notice that much. It was a PITA to put on so I don't see myself trying to fix a small cosmetic issue, being even on both sides. Most of the time I am anal about things like that, but this can wait - I'm sure some time down the road I'm going to mess it up anyways.

You could always slot the holes to lift it up some, or the other side to drop it down. Or, just drop off a rock right on that side of the bumper and even it out
