I am currently running Amsoil Universal transmission fluid in my transfer case (bottle says its good for ATF+4 applications).. And it shifts into and out of low range and high range like butter... I love the stuff. (transmission has Coastal ATF+4 in it tho because its all I could find when I was flushing WATER out of my transmission)

The transfer case is WAY more tolerant of what kind of ATF is installed.

You're running the Coastal ATF+4 now in the transmission. What was in it before the water episode?

And, how did the water enter the tranny?

If you look in the Owners Manual under recommended lubricants you'll see:

Automatic Transmission: Mopar ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid
Transfer Case: Mopar ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent
