Hi everyone,
What is the best way to route the battery cables from the winch to the battery? I noticed an access hole (top left) just inside the grill on the 2012 JK (not sure if this is true for other JK years). Appears this will work but curious if the cables are too close to the radiator (too much heat?). There are no sharp edges or bolts which will rub the cables and I can probably zip tie a few places to ensure the cables do not move. That said, is there a better routing path on the 2012? It appears I can route below the grill and take the cables straight up behind the headlight as well. Does anyone have any photos or advice for routing the battery cables? I've attached a few photos of how it looks routing through the grill (just a dry run tonight). thanks,

That's the route I went and it works well.

Not sure if it works on the 2012 but i went the same way but just under the grill instead of through it first.

Good to know. thanks for the feedback guys. I will keep the same path but re-try by first passing under the grill (not through it). Should be a cleaner look.

I went under the grill. I had to take the airbox out to route the wires. Worth the time though. I do like your conduit around the wires though. Might use some of that around the winch where the wires show a bit.

is that the new Warn Zeon on a PSC Brawler lite? If so how does it fit and did you use the PSC mount or the Warn mount for the fairlead? Ive been looking into putting on the same winch now that they are out and I can get my hands on one.

I took the same route with no problems, ran the cables under the grill first & wrapped them in the same black conduit for protection.

Correct - new Warn Zeon 8S on PSC Brawler lite bumper. I used the PSC winch mount plate and the Warn fairlead. I did not realize Warn had a black fairlead, but the polished one looks cool. The PSC mount plate provides just enough height so the ends of the winch do not touch the bumper (as bumper angles up slightly). The Warn mounting bolts were a little too long so I used an extra flat and lock washer. Two of the mount bolts are hard to tighten (tough to reach) but the other two I was able to torque by accessing the bolts through the holes of the PSC skid plate.
