I have the 4" with adjustable front lower control arms. I'm running 35's with 5:13s. Great lift and outstanding customer service.

I have the 3.5 inch series II and love it. It has done everything I have wanted to do and flex's decent enough. I did not have money at the time for adj control arms. When I first installed the kit it was a little rough but I have since installed aev control ARM drop bracket and the steering is back to stock. No real loss in clearance and for 99 bucks you can't go wrong. I run 35's on mine as well.

How high of a lift can you go befor eyou have to worry about extended driveshafts and other stuff like that? I was wanting to go for a 4 inch, but if I've got to spend another $1000 on drive shafts, I'd probably stick with the 3 or 3.5 inch.

I may be wrong, but on a unlimited u can go 4 inches or so and be ok. But with a 2dr u can only go about 3. The shorter length of the 2dr puts more strain on the drive shafts causing the boot to tear open.

I've heard the same but I'm 9 months into my 4 in which ended up being a 4.5-5 inch with no issues with the driveshaft boot. But I do keep a good eye on my undercarriage. Expecting to have to change it eventually. And mines a 2dr. But I have heard of them tearing right away.

There is no magic number, too many variables in addition to lift height. Some people are losing shafts at 2.5", others are ok with 4" or more.

Lift height (actual, not mfg's stated height)
2door or 4door
Auto or Manual
Shock length
Disconnected or not
All onroad or flexing offroad
(whatever I forgot)

With an auto 4door, my guess is that your rear shaft will be ok, but you will lose that front shaft.

I've heard the same. Some people have them tear right away but I have heard of some going 30k with a torn boot.

Exactly pull the trigger and upgrade what brakes. Thats how I convince the wife. The problem is nothing has broken. Note to self need to be harder on jeep :sinister: waiting for the 3.8 to calf then on to the ls7 already have a Dane 60 rear, front and a tranny.
