Default Roof Rack? Exterior roll cages?

Has anyone seen or heard of either exterior roll cages or roof racks in the works? My two door could use someplace to put the pelican cases.

I've been thinking about exterior roll cages since I watched this madness ... although I couldn't sport one and take my self seriously in a part time offroad rig.

I've gotten stuck in the mud before ... but that's real mud...

OK, that kind of mud isn't for a 2007 JK. Leave that for the 86 Samurais or something. Holy smokes!

Yeah, that video is nuts.
You gotta love the russians. I married one. I particularly enjoy how long it takes the guy in the sinking rig to let his buddie out. He even uses his wipers before it goes down. WTF?

There is a guy one of the other forums that has an exo cage. It's been shown here before, but just to give you some ideas...

I'm sure you could take something like that and extend it over the roof to suit your needs... still need to figure out where to run the vertical tube though I guess  . Good luck and post pictures if you end up getting an exo!

I love that rig. You could run a vertical behind the back doors, and up the windshield, that would be plenty of support. People do that with XJs all the time.

If only I had the money for that.

Thanks, Living Still,
That's what I was wondering. Looks like a home brew solution, but really well made.

Default JK Roof Rack

I was at my local dealer this week for some TSB upgrades and saw a nice looking roof rack mounted on a 4 door JK.

Here are the guys that make it:: http://www.jkracks.com/

I like this one, but I bet it would look funny with the top on.
