yes it will be the best thing to do,,
I can see that there is a very good anchoring point in the back just between the gate and the lights ,,and an iner bracket could rest inside ,,more like orfab tj's tire -can carrier brackets ,,dont know if anyone here have seen this

You can also beef the corner up by getting corner guards..Then when you have to drill thru all that.. there will be something substantial to bolt too..! I have some black powder coated ones coming Minus the license plate hole!!

Has anyone seen this rack or have one. I am looking for a rack and this one allows you to tilt it back to remove tops. http://www.project-jk.com/wp-gallery...2_itemId=10712

This is true... I have been in contact with them via e-mail. But the problem I see is that it will attach to the sheet metal... which is something I do not want to do. They told me they hope to have it out before summer... which is rapidly approaching... so we will see.
sheet metal also,,that sucks like i sed before there is a great anchoring place for the rack in the back I dont know why they havnt take advantage of that.
If I have time I will strat building mine this weekend...

from all the pictures off off road logics, I can't figure out how you could run a soft top. The way it mounts in the rear looks like you would have to cut the top and make it work. Or leave the hard top on all the time and thats no fun.
