Default RockHard or Skidrow skid plates

I am purchasing the Rockhard Evap Cannister plate. However, when i checked out the Rockhard and Skidrow Engine And Transmission Skid Plate, I can't really tell if they cover the same items. I was originally buying the Oil Pan, Transmission & Dual Catalytic Converter Skid Plate from rockHard at $380 but the skidrow Engine And Transmission Skid Plate is only $280. Both say they cover the oilpan (most imp to me). Are they basically the same?

Any help before I buy would be greatly appreciated. Don't want to waste $100 but don't want to buy the wrong thing either.

I am in the same boat as you. I think I'm going to go with Skidrow because of the price and size. I don't want mud and everything else to build up on top of it. But I don't know if Rockhard is better, it looks alittle better. But for the price??????

I've had very good luck with Skid-Row over the years....taking the Skid-Row plate, and covering the rest with Rock Hard plates, is probably a perfectly sound approach...great coverage, full protection.

I like the way the Rock Hard plates LOOK as a package though......which is odd as I normally go function over form....but they seem to integrate really well with each other....so fewer edges to catch.

I like my Skidrow, and being that I have the RE long arm, it fits much better then the RH would have, I would have had to hack the crap out of the RH to clear the RE long arms.

Great pic.

Like I said, I like S-R's stuff...and, it seems that so does RE.

My skid row has been there and taken the worst of beating on rock that RubyDoo drags her self over.

Thanks for the input from the SR owners. Any RH owners that want to chime in? At this time it seems that SR does the job and is $100 cheaper.

My other question was do they both cover the same items?

I have the rock hard oil/trans skid. Im very happy with it so far. It covers the exhaust and cats, so It does cover a little more then the SR. Is it worth the extra 100? I cant say for sure, but I do know I dont regret buying it.
