Rocker panel protection in four season areas?
Anyone run rock skins in areas with a real winter? I really like the look of EVO's skins and they would compliment my sliders nicely but I am concerned about salt, road debris etc getting behind them and rotting the rocker panel out.

I have not cut my pinch seam because of that thought! I would not dare drill through anything unless you could get a good coat of sealer on both sides. Road salt is our killer!

Most people seal them up with RTV on the top to keep stuff out (I did). Also high pressure wash often.
One note: i have these on my Jeep and after the PITA install, I really do not like the looks.

I would avoid them if I were you, just don't think it's worth the risk. You could bed line your rockers to give the look your after without the risk of having rust issues.

You guys convinced me not to bother with them. On another note, I wish EVO hadn't cut their company name in to my sliders. I can see where lots of nasty road salt is going to end up...
