Rocker Arm 2012 Jk
Evening all! I have the infamous tick due to what appears to be a bad rocker arm. I’ve been looking to order a set of 12 but each offering I come across seems to specify Jeep Wrangler 2014 - 2018. I’m wondering if there’s a difference and there is a specific version for 2012 - 2014. For example

would love OEM but seem to be a bit tricky to get hold of in Aus without paying outrageous shipping.
P/N is

I think a lot of that just comes down to poor advertising. Up top is shows compatible even though the 3.6L wasn't in the 2011 (up top) and down lower it shows more limited year range -
I am highly positive these are the same part for '12+ with the 3.6L. I'd really suggest just going for the Mopar ones. I replaced with some off Amazon and it was good for a bit, but I'm really starting to question things again. I guess the reality is they are ALL a gamble cuz the Mopar ones are what originally craps out.

Funny tho that for decades Mopar stock rockers were suitable for the most powerful drag and race cars. Was a simple shaft with bronze bushing rockers pivoting off it. I must sound like a record with a needle stuck in the groove here but will say again - get those engine temps down as oil's ability to lube effectively is killed by heat. That is how the engine valve train will last. It is not easy as you have to go into the program and enter the new thermostat temperature of which JScan and all those other programmers are useless. You need factory WiTech or tunes like HPTuners to do this. Then you have to buy access credits and at 2016 you also need a $250 unlock ECU fee. But still way cheaper than replacing the valve train components.
OP - as suggested for Mopar parts can you not go to a dealer there in Sydney for the correct numbers. The aussie model may have different cam profiles so could be different rockers - need to look into that.

Just to add regarding engine temps - pretty bad when one has to stop on a trail in the summer to cool a newer Jeep engine down whereas I have a 5.3 Chev running on the 3.8 Jeep rad at 190F and never even see the gauge needle rise summer or winter, crawling or on road at hiway speeds. The secret is the 190 deg thermostat which is stock Chevrolet. Only time I have had a rise in temps was pulling about a 1500lb trailer in summer up an 8% grade at 60mph down 2 gears into 6th. The gauge went up about 1/8" then over the top instantly went down to normal.
