Rock Krawler x factor mid arm
How you guys doin....
I've read threads on here since I bought my 13 rubi. 2 years ago when researching products. I am now in need of some one on one.
So I am interested in running 37s. A rep at 4wd recommended the RK with a 1" spacer to give me the 4.5" I need. For the price I want to believe him in that this will function great. He claimed with the exhaust spacer I would not need a drive shaft. He quoted me with Bilstien 5100s
The price is better than the 4.5 RE extreme duty I had been considering. I was also thinking of Clayton, which would take the price back up.
Jeep is my daily with occasional off
Can you guys steer me a little here?
Thanx

Don't need 4.5" to begin with so he is just trying to sale you something or doesn't know what he is talking about. At 4.5" you will likely need a new driveshaft anyways. You can run 37s on a 2.5" lift especially with flat fenders if you plan on getting them or cutting your stocks. There are people here that run 1.5" RK lift with 37s. Just saying.
Read some more threads on here cause there have been many discussions on this topic already. Read the stickies at the top of this section.

Thanks for your response.
I read the sticky. A lot of the info in there is beyond me.
If I can run the 3.5 without the spacers that would be good. I can trim the stock flares but flats are a no for me, so I can only gain so much there.
Without getting to detailed, YET, is this lift a good choice?

I ran the 2.5" kit on my mine. Just changed the arms out though for Metalcloak arms. Now you may have issues in the rear with the stretch or you can order it with shorter arms in the rear. However I think there are better kits out there even though I still run their 2.5" triple rate coils. I like my setup now. Others I would consider though. You don't really need the xfactor or tge last one I listed below if it's mainly a DD and some offroad. But it's up to you really.

Then you really dont need all 8 arms. If you do, the 1" stretch wont affect you much.
My vote is the flex system.

So I have been looking at metalcloaks products and I like them. The lifts look good, although so did the Rock Krawler. I like their fenders and rock rails. My delema is that I have the Rock slide engineering full front bumper. I can't imagine that it would look good with flat fenders. This is the reason I mentioned flats as not being an option earlier.
So can I go wrong with either of these two brands? Assuming metalcloak is just as good as others, they look to be a great choice considering they are cheaper.
