Rock Krawler vs. Tera flex vs. Metal cloak
#111
I went a different route and did MC springs, fox shocks, synergy track bar (and TB sector brace) and tie rod, and AEV drop brackets. I am very pleased with my ride now with that setup, but I have MC front and rear arms in my garage waiting to be installed. I am halfway debating just staying with my stock arms and the AEV brackets though.
Point being, you don't always have to buy a kit to get what you want in the end. You can mix and match for great results as well.

There you have it. The metal cloak is upgradable. Cool. It's all in your hands man. I never said anything negative about cloak. If my post was misleading forgive me.
To the point that all the kits are upgradable. Not necessarily so. As we have all seen a lot of kits are incomplete and not adjustable. Many sell inferior products on their lower priced lifts and superior products on their higher cost lifts. All quality kits should be complete that is for sure. Additionally it is correct that there are RK kits that do use different arms. But not the one I purchased.. One of my reasons.
Certainly not trying to sell you anything, as I have nothing to gain. Just sharing my good experience. And I would hope that others will do the same. I will certainly and without hesitation praise the company that sold me a quality lift and provided excellent phone support as I did my installation. I am far from an expert , but this has not been my experience with many products that I purchased for my jeep. So kudos to RK.
Again good luck with your decision.

I have a quote so far which is 10% under msrp on mc but I think it can be gotten cheaper

can you redo the inferior stuff? yup. there is absolutely no way you can not upgrade every kit......if you basing upgrade ability on quality, that can damn near always be upgraded also.
let me guess the sky isnt blue either its more of a prussian blue, wich in some twisted way to some people isnt a blue at all...

maybe rock krawler can confirm that sway bar links and brake lines that come in 2.5" kits will also work fine with 5.5" kits. I would think they would need to be swapped out and of course you would be swapping out coils. Bumpstops and shocks may also need to be replaced.

Which is why I looked at mc as well. Both the rk max travel and add shocks or the mc with shocks. Both seem awesome I guess it will come down to which one I can get the best price on.
Will look at vendors and Las Vegas area companies

This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid.
You are correct. You can always find better and spend more. I've seen your rig and your build thread. You've proved that first hand. Your Jeep is very impressive I might add. Also more than I would ever need. For me there were basic needs and what I bought met those.
So...Keep building and replacing. I do enjoy your wit, knowledge and skill. I have learned a great deal from your posts.
The sky's blue here today. Tomorrow...who knows...could be murple.
