Default rock krawler track bar

I've had my lift installed for a little of 2 years without issues. Today my wife noticed a shimmy in the front end so naturally I crawled under my jeep and noticed that the joint on my track bar was bouncing back and forth when the steering wheel is being turned.

So my question is should I just replace it with the same joint from rock krawler or go with a different setup all together?

Any input is greatly appreciated
Thanks

I know I am in the minority but I am not happy with my RK track bar. I love the triple rate coils but I am going to go with something else shortly. For the money the superlift front track bar actually looks decent.

I do know RK makes a new style joint to replace that one. My joint is out of wack and RK told me it was because my caster is not 6*. I have a hard time believing 1* would make that much of a difference.

I've had my RK track bar on for a few thousand miles, I'm not sure if I dislike it. I've got a DW issue right now so if the track bar is related I will form an opinion.

MetalCloak just came out with a new easily serviceable/rebuildable joint for their track bar. I have the old joint but have had mine for about a year with no issues so far.

The replacement bushings for that are just a few bucks. Also, try using a synthetic lube like this: Super Lube 3 oz. Tube Synthetic Grease with Syncolon PTFE-21030 - The Home Depot on assembly.

I wouldn't throw the whole unit out when you can fix it minimally.

RK has a new anti wobble joint for the frame side of their track bar it cost about $55 with shipping.
Jason at krawl-Offroad.com can get you one.

Im pretty sure my track bar frame side busing is shot. Im not getting DW, but can hear it moving back and forth during certain driving conditions. Kinda of like a popping noise, but its not my ujoints.

You should be able to go to ruffstuff.com and pick up a heim joint that will thread into the RK rod. No reason to buy a whole new tire rod because of a joint. A heim joint will give it a good solid feel but some can become noisy over time and you can lube it with 3 in 1 oil.

I'm also getting popping noises after replacing both ends. Starting to think mounting holes are ovaled out.
