I run that lift, it's been fantastic. I got the old 2.5" Max Travel with the linear (not progressive) coil springs and ran the stock 32" tires until they died. Then I threw on 37's without changing anything other than trimming the fender flares and pinch seam (rock rails, too) in the wheel well. Been a great setup.

I too have this kit. I put it on about 2 months ago. I also have the bilstein shocks. I think the ride is better than stock. For a daily driver and weekend warrior I believe it is fine. Spring retainers and bump stops are also needed.

I have the RK 2.5" stock mod and rancho 5000X shocks and am totally impressed with the on road ride. It really handles and drives smooth as silk. I have rear track bar locator (teraflex and teraflex sport fixed front lower control arms which give near perfect caster for this lift) On a newer JK there is no need for new brake lines as they stock ones have plenty of slack at full droop. Just need to pry the fronts from their brackets and put rear brake line bracket extenders on the back.
I believe the free length of the triple rate is about 2" longer then the old dual rate coil. I would have to look but I think I measured mine at 22"

You may want to consider coil spring retainers. I had only bought them for the rear originally, and lately I've been having an issue with my front springs coming out of there perch and rotating. Not a big deal and an easy enough fix, just annoying. I picked up retainers for the front recently, just haven't installed them yet. You could go with hose clamps as a cheap solution, or just plan on fixing it every time it happens. If you're not running any bumpstops, then your springs could actually pop out on you on the trail. Point is this kit will flex nice, and you'll probably want something to keep them in place. When you go 35's you'll want bumpstops. Unless something has changed since I purchased this lift, the bump stops aren't included. And if you ever go aftermarket rear driveshaft, you might have to pick up a particular set of rear uppers (the shorter ones). The rear LCAs that come with the Max Travel lift are shorter whereas the ones that come with their X-factor lift are longer and move your rear axle back 1". This comes in to play if/when you go to buy rear uppers. RK will make shorter rear uppers for you if you special order them, otherwise you'll have to go with another company that offers short rear uppers to work with the shorter rear lowers that will come with that kit. I know Teraflex makes them, not sure who else. Again, you may or may not need to worry about arms if you get an aftermarket driveshaft. It worked out for me that the pinion angle was perfect for me and I didn't have to buy anything. Just something to be aware of because it came as a bit of a learning experience for me. Only other thing I bought with the kit was coil spring wedges. Takes some of the bow out of the rear springs. You'd be fine without them I'm sure, but just something to consider as an alternative to moving the spring perches in case the bowing causes you any issues.

Depending on what size tire you run, you need to add more bumpstop in addition to what the stock bumpstops provide in order to keep your tire from hitting your fenders or elsewhere at full stuff. Can't tell you exactly how much bumpstop you need because of all the factors involved that are specific to your Jeep (wheel backspacing, tire size, fenders trimmed or not, etc.).
2" of bumpstop with that lift worked for me when I was running 35s, 17" AEV Savegre wheels with 4.5" of backspacing, and stock fenders. I eventually trimmed my fenders for the flat look, and when I went to 37s I still had no rubbing issues with the same amount of bumpstop.

So I just bought this kit today and am getting it installed next week. I plan on running stock Rubin tires for the next year and than switching to bigger ones. With that being the case how big of a deal are bump stops and coil retainers for the time being? Thanks for the input
