Rock krawler 3.5 X Factor lift
looking for someone running this lift that can give me some advice. It has to handle good on hwy! Wife likes to drive it!
i have a 2014 4/dr rubicon that for now is a daily driver so it needs to behave good on hwy. RK says lift is complete and doesn't need any upgrades or add ons to help with handling.
I've read you dont need to worry about drive shafts, gears until you go bigger than 4 on lift and 37's on tires.! thanks
rk 3.5 x factor lift
fox 2.0 reservoir adj. shocks
fox 2.0 stabilizer
18 inch wheel with 35's

That is a great kit and ride awesome both on and off road. I'm sure you will be very happy with the kit.
You will want to replace at least the front driveshaft for clearance between the driveshaft and exhaust. The rear driveshaft can last a while but you will wear it out quicker and will probably want to replace the driveshaft sooner than later.
With the 3.6L and 35's you do not lose that much in performance. Depending on the roads near you depends if you want to want to regear or not. More than likely you can get away with out gears until you go to 37's.
If you have any additional questions or want quotes on anything feel free to PM us.

It's a great lift. I have this on my 2 door. I didn't replace the drive shafts yet.
However, if you are expecting this to ride like a stock suspension, forget it. It won't. Don't get me wrong, it's not like riding a buck board, but it's not as soft as the stock suspension, and it shouldn't be. It's a bit stiffer, but to me, it's acceptable. To my wife, it's barely tolerable.

Are you planning to go to 37's soon? You might find 2.5" xfactor is perfect for 35s. That's the setup I have. Don't have to worry bout driveshaft issues or draglink flips and all that either.

this will be my first lifted JK and i want to do it right. Mt buddy was telling me that i would need to flip the frt track bar bracket so it wouldnt walk all over the hwy.?
I was expecting it to be stiffer and thats why Im going with the adj. shocks. My plans are to end up with 37's later when its not a daily driver. thanks

Looks good. You will love it even more once you do pull the trigger on a lift kit.

My opinion ... while the lift will cause them to run at steeper angles, the trackbar and draglink are still parallel, right? The steepness might cause you to feel more road feedback, but shouldn't give bumpsteer. If you choose to relocate one of them without also relocating the other - that's when you get the bumpsteer. (I drove with a 4" lift for several years before finally flipping the draglink and raising the trackbar. The ride smoothed out a bit, less body roll with the raised brackets front and back, but not a huge difference)
For the driveshaft, don't fall into the theory of I will be ok at x.xx", but if I go over y.yy" I will need to replace. You need to get down and crawl underneath as part of regular maintenance to check for grease splatter --> whether you have a 2.5" lift or a 5+" lift. Taller lifts with steeper angles just means more likelihood of a failure, people with as little as 2.5" have crawled under to find a nice dark ring of grease.
