Rock Krawler 2.5 stock mod actual lift height vs Teraflex 2.5

Full flex- the shock body will contact the frame and your spotter will see the shock bow out. One day it'll give up the ghost and snap the shaft. There are a few documented cases of the 5100's doing this and I've seen first-hand the fox do the same thing.
I've got a 4dr with the 3.5" x factor and fox shocks in the driveway. I have the 2.5" stock mod with Rancho. I've not had a chance to see if mine will bow the shocks, but I imagine it will.
Your alternative is to get limiting straps that stop the travel before you get to that point, but then you lose travel so that is counter-productive.

We have had a lot of luck with 37's with 2.5" of lift. Attached is a vehicle with that combo: Coil sag has largely been eliminated. Coil Rate transitions were modified to ensure proper ride height. Typically if we see an issue with squatting it can be explained with pinion. That angle is explained in the directions and often overlooked when installing. That angle directly effects coil bow/loss of effective rate. We recommend our rear pinion angle to placed at 2 degrees below the output on the transfer case. Not doing this will cause interference with components and potentially sag the rear suspension. Rk
