Full flex- the shock body will contact the frame and your spotter will see the shock bow out. One day it'll give up the ghost and snap the shaft. There are a few documented cases of the 5100's doing this and I've seen first-hand the fox do the same thing.

I've got a 4dr with the 3.5" x factor and fox shocks in the driveway. I have the 2.5" stock mod with Rancho. I've not had a chance to see if mine will bow the shocks, but I imagine it will.

Your alternative is to get limiting straps that stop the travel before you get to that point, but then you lose travel so that is counter-productive.

And this is only on the front? Relocation doesn't cost much so I'll have to consider this at some point before I go full flex

That's everywhere I've cut. I'm running no bump all around and have no contact anywhere. I am going to add 1" to the back just for safe measure though.

That angle directly effects coil bow/loss of effective rate. We recommend our rear pinion angle to placed at 2 degrees below the output on the transfer case. Not doing this will cause interference with components and potentially sag the rear suspension. Rk
Wow that rig has about the same clearance between tires/fenders with the same 2.5 lift vs. my 35's.... Click image for larger version

Yeah. Shocking clearance...how do you like you're fenders? Been looking at those.

great price and have been holding up very well so far. Just FYI they are very narrow so the tires kick up everything.

This is a great suggestion especially if someone is running a larger diameter shock. This happens frequently with incorrect track bar length. If the track bar is too short, too long, and the axle is pushed to one side or another it increases chance for contact. However, if you're set correctly it reduces or even can eliminate the chances of the shock hitting the frame.

it's roughly 5" higher than a stock jk........about 2" from the tires and roughly 3" from the lift
