Default Rock hard cage powder vs paint and what color

O my rock hard cage is inbound! Can't wait to install! Looking for input on powder coat vs paint. I want a mat finish. My jeep is detonator yellow. I think I want yellow. Anyone have Experiance with a yellow cage. Any reason not to? Any better ideas?

Alternate color will be black.

Got pics?

I vote you powdercoat. It should not see rocks (hopefully). My rule is powdercoat anything that will not see action. Sliders are spraycan, your cage should be coated. My 2 cents...

Depends how well you want the yellow to match. Powder coating only has a limited color range.

I have the same yellow. I tried painting the cage but scratched it up so much during the PITA install after we finally got everything sorted I had it powder coated matte black. Used the same color & texture as my bumpers and Nemesis flares. Looks great.

Paint them so you can get the perfect color you want, and it is easier to touch up when needed.

Agreed. Biggest mistake I ever made with a vehicle was getting powder coated sliders and bumper. Worst product ever invented.

Ok so I'm leaning toward yellow powder coat as long as color is close (unless paint is considerably cheaper). Going to be a flat finish.

Only concern is reflection off windshield. I'm thinking the flat won't reflect that bad. Thoughts? Experiance?

I'll probably try to test it with a pipe and some flat yellow paint.

Can't wait to get this bitch on!!
