Default Road Trip through Canada and N.E. US: Are spacers illegal along my route?

Hey guys. I was wondering if the local guys to these areas would let me know if spacers are illegal in your province/state. I've got 33" Duratracs with 1.5" Spidertrax , so they still look pretty meaty outside my fenders (not much compared to some of you guys, but it is noticeable). I am driving up to Montreal from Detroit in the next couple of weeks, so I'll be taking 401 all the way up basically. Then I will be going down to Providence, R.I. from there. I still have not decided on the route back to Detroit but probably will drive through the U.S. (even though it takes longer than passing through Canada) so I'll need to know from any of you Northeastern guys. Thanks for the help ahead of time!

I'm from NH and now live in Mass. Technically the laws about spacers are governed by the state you reside in. I have a heavily modded jeep and most of the time they check it out! I seriously doubt they would even knkw what spacers are. That and I don't think they're illegal around here. The biggest issues are load music. Unless you go out of your way to give them a reason they won't even know your there. The only state that would concern me is New York but that's more hear say than anything else.

Agree it's all about the state/province you are licensed in. Don't worry if the opp pull you over it's probably for something else haha..

I'm in Ontario, never heard of any issues...nor in Quebec.

(Quebec residents by law have to have snowflake rated tires for the winter months. Oh, and the have the worst maintained roads I've seen in a long time...from a pot hole / pavement perspective)

You'll be fine eh!

Thanks guys! Yeah the duratracs are severe weather rated and knew about that law. Hopefully they don't give my dad too much trouble with his m + s tires. Another question...seeing as how my whole trip is going to be roughly 1.7k miles, anyone know of seat covers that wont make my seats feel like a rock?
