RK 3.5 springs...what rear trackbar setup?

All RH MC joints are forged now. You can get LH for custom arms and those are welded, however they have significantly improved the process. A welded steel joint should not break if welded correctly, so there was a failure in their process that was resolved. I had the 6 packs. I have high regard for MC and still use their joints. Not a fan of the 6 packs. I broke several wheeling in the rocks and was constantly landing on the nitrogen fill valve and breaking it off. No nitrogen, no shock. You also need to recharge them every few months. For some reason, people aren't aware of that. Expect to drop $400 for a nitrogen setup. The shocks have to be fully extended when charging (kind of a PITA). In the last month alone I've run into 3 people with them and within seconds I could tell they're shocks were very low on nitrogen. Bad part is that if you don't keep them charged, you will damage them internally. $100 every time MC has to rebuild your shock.

I don't care for the 6 pack shocks but its your jeep and you don't seem to like my advice anyway. 4" of lift and 37's is not a LCG build. I am going to bow out of your build and my thoughts on most stuff is already out there. BTW I was the one that a broke the metal cloak joint and they took care of it. I am not even sure if you can buy the welded ones anymore. Like I mentioned before, check the builder sites not the big lift companies for weld on brackets it will save you a lot since you seem to be on a budget. Good luck with your build.
Well idk why you're talking about 4". The springs should be 3.5 when I'm done. You seemed to be speaking nicely about that coil earlier. I just don't want to be itching for 3.5 if I go 2.5. Maybe the EVO Plush ride 3" coils are a good middle ground? But not the same free length as MC...and I don't want them to sag to 2.5 after a while which id be more afraid if with their single coil design..

I keep my jeep fairly light, not armored at all (but does have a steel stubby and 9500lb winch up front and carry a bunch of gear in back), and you saw how much clearance I have with 37's. Way more than 3.5", I would guess it is easily 4.5". (I should have gone with the 2.5" coils, hindsight...)
Might have been Invest who posted the steps for determining the correct shock and bumpstop length. Something like install the new coils without any shocks and then fully cycle the suspension and measure. Or something. Get with him or dirt on that... And remember that the flips have minimum bumpstop requirements that you may need to work around!!
Here are some shock specs from when I was looking, and the prices I found at the time. (these were the ones being talked about in the metalcloak threads back then, but I am sure there are many other options to look at.)
(extended / collapsed / travel)
OME
Front 27.28 / 15.90 / 11.38 (60066L)
Rear. 27.79 / 16.61 / 11.18 (60067)
$95
Bilstein 5100
Front 27.56 / 16.41 / 11.15 (BSN-24-186872)
Rear. 27.36 / 16.96 / 10.40 (BSN-33-186887)
$85
Fox BDS
Front 27.25 / 16.65 / 10.60 (98224922)
Rear. 28.00 / 16.55 / 11.45 (98224959)
$125
Rancho 9000
Front 27.32 / 16.60 / 10.42 (RS999331)
Rear. 27.19 / 16.77 / 10.42 (RS999332)
$68 (if the rebates are still going on?)
MC Rocksport ?
Same specs as the ome's (I think), but cheaper. Haven't seen any reviews on them yet, but assume they are valved the same as ome's as well?.
I tried the 5100's, they rode fairly harsh with these coils and I was not happy with them. The OME's give a much better ride than the Bilsteins in my opinion. The Fox/BDS had similar reviews to the OME's, but for the price difference I wasn't going that route. Hard to beat the cost on the rancho's (if you catch the rebate offer), and the adjustability and 'try for 60 days' warranty are nice also.

If you are running a big 4-door JKU, there's not much you can do to overcome the wheelbase. 42.5" PBRs is about it. Wheel travel really doesn't matter when the break over angle is bad. If it were me, I would leave the JKU stock and enjoy it, then buy a trail rig.
