I disagree with your assessment, but it takes money to make the necessary geometry adjustments. Correcting caster with a new axle that has added caster or turning the inner C's on the factory axle will fix issues with twitchy steering and front driveline vibrations. A draglink flip will fix bumpsteer issues. A new heavy duty swaybar installed in the rear like a Currie AntiRock that is a larger diameter than the factory swaybar will help eliminate any additional lean from a lifted JK. Everything can be fixed with proper adjustments, but most lift kits don't include "everything" that you really need and most people don't want to spend the additional money to fix it. They want bigger tires stuffed under their Jeep and it is a compromise on tire size and lift versus cost.

However, I agree that a higher lift will reduce mileage and handle worse in windy situations because of the increased vehicle height.

You will be happy with just about any RK lift you install. You can upgrade the kits as needed to make it perform even better. The 2.5" Max Travel is one of the most popular kits available. PM us if you would like to discuss more specific details and would like a quote.

I'm running the 2.5 on my 2 door Sahara. Love it. It's right where I want to be. If I had the added weight of the 4 door, I'd probably suggest going for the 3.5.
Ill probably bump it up one day anyway, but so far it's where I want it.
I don't agree it disagree with the better than stock argument. There's a noticeable difference with bilsteins over the stock shocks. But you do notice some things are different such as steering (more like a truck) , and the resistance of the air coming at you( Boston bridges suck ) but the bumps and roads that are ,for lack of better words tilted, feels alot more comfortable.
As for mileage, I suffered about a 1 mpg loss after installing my lift.
At 35 mph she sits around 1200 Rpms and feels amazing.

Here's a pic compared to a stock front at the dealership today.

Those of you w/ the 3.5 on 4dr do you need a new driveshaft or are you still using stock?

I'm running the 2.5 X factor kit on my 2dr. It yielded nearly 4.5" of lift. I have blistein 5100's and it rides fantastic on road. Far better than stock. Very happy with the performance off road. Works great. No regrets. On a 4dr I would go with the 3.5.

damn you netted 4.5" with the 2.5 on a 2 door with front and rear bumpers and a winch?i find that hard to believe...i just ordered the 3.5 coils for my 2-door and should have them soon... im expecting about 4" or less.....do you have a picture of yours?

I was up over 4" when I first installed them. They settled to around 3.5"
This is with little weight. Those 3.5's are going to be tall as f***

Are those 33's or 35's? Look like 33's but can't tell for sure....
