Default Rivet Nut Tool - need advice

I'm looking to buy a rivet nut tool. I found a highly rated one that says it works on sizes M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12. Is this going to handle the vast majority of my automotive (and general home) needs? I see references at times to inserting M3 and M4 nuts. Am I going to be disappointed if I can't work with those sizes? I think I did see some tools that worked in the range of M3-M8, but they weren't rated as high by reviewers.

The one that is highly rated covering M5 through M12 would be my choice since this covers the range of nearly all bolt-type fasteners on your Jeep. M3 and M4 are small fasteners, and I have a hard time thinking of an application where these would be involved.
With that being said, what applications do you have mind? Can you show the tools you have been considering?

Unless spacing is a issue just drill out the holes to fit the size fastener you have. Why not just use cherry max or Jo bolts? The tools are easy to find and come with all size attachments you need.

Personally a good old fashion rivet is my favorite. Then Hi Loc fasteners because you can use basic tools for install and removal.

agree with Hank. M3/4 are pretty small.
I just got the Astrotec (1442) after having a nightmare trying to use the cheap tool you get with the Hanson sliders. it worked great, seems to be pretty high quality and at under $50 from a leading inline retailer you can't complain about the price
