Excellent. Did you notice any performance or milage improvements? just wondering, I know what the snorkels purpose is, but I thought I read somewhere that bc it pushes cooler air into the intake rather than the heated engine compartment air, that they actually had a milage improvement to boot. Of course, at 115 heat index down here, I'm not so sure the outside air is any cooler than the engine compartment!

I actually gained about 1-1.5 mpg untill I upgraded to 35's.. I average about 15.5-15.8 but I also have a short 6 mile commute to post and do a lot of short trips on post throughout the day. It has a nice throaty sound and I can feel a mild difference in performance as well.

Good deal. I'm convinced a bb lift and 33's on the stock rubi rims will be just about it for awhile. Probably do everything I'll ever need it to do so hopefully my milage will at least stay the same, but I'm stoked about the throaty sound...... I'm ready to start right now......

It's a nice feeling when other jeepers stop and look at it. I'm the only one in my area that is running a custom snorkel...

Yea, even tho they've been out since 07', i get questions and lots of admirers. As I put my touch on it, I hope it still gets the same reaction. I'll be sure to call ahead for permission if I'm in VA when I get my custom snorkel done........

Haha, I'm surprised more people don't run them. Either way if your running a custom or aftermarket you have to cut a hole, so why not make it custom...

True..... Plus considering I like the fact that it's custom and made by me, not to mention the river raider kit....which looks freakin awesome by the way, is $500 bucks. I'll just follow your write up and see what I come up with.
