Thanks for all the input so far guys!

I hooked up the tuner today and it's showing 0.0 deg for both ST and LT knock. I did set up the misfire counter and it showed a total of 51 in the 2 minutes I drop the jeep around. They occurred only under light acceleration though; none at idle and none when i stepped on it...

I'll be checking the plugs for any scorching today and probably swinging by a local dyno to see what they have to say. Thanks again for the help, and RIPP, do ya'll have anything else I should be checking for?

So I called RIPP today and they mentioned replacing the plug wires which made sense at first, but that did no good... I was searching the forum and found this thread

It looks like my exact problem but with a 6 speed. I emailed RIPP again and will keep ya'll informed if there is any headway made.

Yup, mine's been doing that since the day it was installed. Accelerating is sort of okay, but then try and just hold at a constant speed, and the lugging-hesitation starts. Probably just a side effect of these supercharger kits we'll have to learn to live with.

They're working on another tune, and maybe it will address the hesitation issue. You're not alone - I know there are a few of us in the same boat.

I guess it's good hear that I'm not the only one with these issues

Anyways, I just logged about 20 minutes of data with the Predator and my laptop and emailed it off to RIPP and Diablo so they can try and pin down the issue.

Hopefully I'll hear something soon, otherwise we've got a tuner in town that says he can get it running like a charm... Like some of the others guys said, it may be worth the cost to get it like it should be

Hmm found your log it was lost in spam mail - give us a minute we'll go over it and see what pops up.

Well, this sounds like my exact problem as well. However, RIPP has been working hard to get it resolved. They definitely get an A+ for effort, just wish it was fixed.

Got mine installed in calfornia two weeks ago. If I try to use my cruise control, it feels like i am tapping on the accelerator. I just didnt use my cruise control.

Bigger issues:
I got it installed then drove to MOAB. On the drive there i had overheating issues on some climbs and when I entered the Mojave.

My buddy and I cut thru Utah and on the drive we had HUGE issues when we hit altitude. On three different occasions when we went 7-8000 ft or higher my computer would wig out. All engine warning lights would come on. The idle would be inconsistent, jumping up and down and the jeep will stall. We disconnected the barrery cables several times to reset the computer and that would usually work for awhile. Once we dropped out of altitude and continued onto Moab, everything seemed fine.
After a few days in moab we hopped over to Telluride CO. On the way there a buddy was following in a 2011 unlimited with 5:13s and 35s. Poor guy had issues with the hills. The my RIPP'd jeep had no issues. BUT............once we hit Telluride, which I believe is 10,000ft. The warning lights returned with the inconsistent idle. We could even smell gas. Of course when we left telluride and dropped altitude, it returned to normal. When we had a several thousand ft climb in AZ, the overheating started again......then It ran hot again when i was in the Mohave on the return. Not sure if that is a different issue...or the same.
I contacted RIPP and they didnt know what was wrong. I will have to pull my tune and send to them. I took it to COP4x4 (man do they have some bada@@ jeeps in their shop) in Phoenix and had them look at it. They couldnt figure out the issue.

Hopefully RIPP will figure out the issue...... I luv the power and I have several friends who drove it and were impressed. But this is a issue that has to be resolved. I cant have a jeep that can only be used below 8,000 and it cant get in a hot environment with hills or it will overheat.

Had altitude issues as well in Moab. Was running too rich. It's the tune. Get a high altitude tune.

As for the overheating...was it the engine or the trans?

Is this the one with a P0129 code - ?

There aren't two tunes - there is one tune with full range - tunes should go from sea level to altitude with no issue (outside or a key cycle)

Is this the one that had an issue at sea level too?
