Riddler Diff Covers and Gear Oil
I know the front diff takes 1.3qt and the rear, 2.2 qt...
I remember on my last change, I just filled the stock covers till it just about came out of the fill hole...
Do I need more fluid with riddler covers?? It seems like they allow for a little more gear oil, or maybe im just going crazy. I just filled the front with 1 qt and a little I had left over from the last change...is it enough??

Ok, I used just over a quart in the front because I had the extra little bit on hand from the last change. I used 2qts in the back which is what I used last time...
Hopefully I should be good
If you have riddler diff covers, how much do you use???

That's why I left just a hint of doubt. I don't have Riddlers, I have a different brand, but every brand I remember looking at recommended sticking with the OE fill capacity. I wish I could say im a solid 100% positive on your Riddlers being the same.

Yep, happened to me last weekend. The Riddlers are hard to gauge. I would however overfill the diff rather than underfill it. I'm not sure if the Riddlers allow for more capacity. But better safe than sorry. The gear oil stink will fade away after awhile

OE Spec. Sheet shows front D44 is 2.7 pints/ front D30 is 2.1 pints. Rear D44 is 4.8 pints/ rear D35 is 3.8 pints. Hope that helps...

I feel like if you have more capacity you would need more oil to keep the level the same on the gears. To me that seems more logical than just sticking with the stock amount. If you're using an aftermarket cover and it holds more I would add more. Better too much than too little

If there is any doubt that the after market cover requires more than or the same amount of fluid, check the level with a little dip stick.
You want the oil to be a little above the bottom of the inside of the axle tube, so the oil will get to the outer bearings on the rear axle, and to the carrier bearings on the front axle.
