Default Riddler Diff. covers

I have a question for you guys on the my newly installed Riddler diff. covers. Once I filled the front with gear oil to the bottom of the fill plug I drove it for a while and stopped for bit and I noticed that the oil was coming out of the axle vent tube. H as anyone had the same problem and what did you do to fix it?

You overfilled it by going up to the hole. Just fill it with the normal OEM amounts. You need to drain it and fill according to your manual.

Well why would you even make the fill plug for the front that high or at least put a warning in the box

I would assume to keep it up and out of harms way. and possibly to give you the option to run slightly more fluid.

Also, the angle of different axles and lifts will change so the company has to guess.

The holes are mounted higher than stock because lifted vehicles can cause the differential to rotate and be at a different angle than stock.

I run Riddler covers front and back and use the factory fill spec:

FRONT AXLE ± .03 L (1 oz.)
186 FBI (Model 30) 1.0 L (1.05 qts)
216 FBI (Model 44) 1.3 L (1.35 qts)

REAR AXLE ± .03 L (1 oz.)
198 RBI (Model 35) 1.83 L (1.9 qts)
226 RBI (Model 44) 2.25 L (2.4 qts)

Yes they are made for both High pinion and standard. That is the reason why the fill hole is so high.
