Default Riddler Diff Covers

Recently bought a set of riddler diff covers (Dana 30 and 44). They look awesome and are definitely an upgrade. However, Messin around with them I noticed the plug magnets don't have any power to them. Are these things actually magnets or what?

I would think the magnet would not need to be too powerful being that only very small shavings are produced normally inside the differential.

The magnetic (drain) plug is under the diff. The filler plug on the cover is not supposed to be magnetic

The fill plug in the cover does not have a magnet in it.
The magnet is in the drain plug on the Center section.
