I saw a JKU today that has the stock fenders and bumpers sprayed with rhino liner or similar. I liked the look and was wondering if anyone else has done this? And if so did you do it yourself or take it to a shop?

I did one of my Cherokees with rattle can bed liner from wal Mart. Goes on well and very durable. Trail tested

That does look good. I definitely like the fenders sprayed but I have a chrome tube front bumper and chrome step bars that were on when I bought the jeep. Will the spray do good on those or should they be scuffed up with something before.

Mine came painted to match, which I wasn't real crazy about so I sprayed them with that duplicolor Bed liner they sell at advanced auto. Also did my grill. Once you start spraying its hard to stop.

I work at a 4x4 shop we do all kinds of aftermarket upgrades like lift kits ect... I'm the guy who does all the spray in bed liners I would advise sanding the area first

Any advice on what to use to sand down the chrome? What about the fenders? Thnx

80 grit should do the trick for both the key is not to over do it

And if you want it to look as good as possible spray the whole area with a good coat of the Bed liner and then back off a little ways and do quick swipes at it almost like a mist it's called dusting or texturing it will make the area gritty instead of smooth rubber

I did my stock bumpers fenders and rock rails ,,, took everything off and had the lineX sprayed on them cost 350.00 need to buy a bag of new fender clips from Clips @ fastners .com got 30 fenfer clips for less than 15.00 bucks

I line xd my fenders on my tj a couple years back....it came out really good and looked sharp!!! I don't have any current pics as I've sold it and now have a jku but I would do it again if I had too.
