I just got under there with a grinder and took off a chunk of it so it sits higher than my bumper now.

That's a good idea. I like a simple solution!

You can always cut a piece off and then add a turn down that is flush with the bumper.

My only worry would be mud/water get stuck in there during wheeling. Thats a big reason why they are located where they are. When I switched to dual exhaust on my Ram, that was the first thing the tech asked me. It made sense to me, so I went straight back with them... Just my .2

P.S. I also hate the stock exhaust location and overall look, so I'll also be awaiting pics of this mod....

I second (or third) cutting the tailpipe. It's very easy and takes 20 seconds. I squished mine 2x and I just keep cutting it smaller and smaller. Actually, I'm amazed that the muffler is still in good condition!

I replaced my muffler with a flowmaster and told them I wheel mine every weekend so I need it out of the way, that got it all up real high in the stock location and made the tail pipe real high facing down and I love it I hit my bumper before the exaust and it was only $100 to have everything welded up solid

Any chance you could get a pic of the tailpipe from the muffler back? I could take that picture to the shop and get it done right. Thanks!

I ended up just getting the end cut off. Here's what a transmission shop did.
