Required Extra's to Make RC 2.5 or 3.25 "Complete"
Okay, as many others have gone the RC path, I'm more then likely to follow as well. But I'm looking for input on what additional parts to round off the RC Kits that I'm reviewing.
The First: RC 2.5 Premium
The Second option: RC 3.25
Not interested in the eternal TF vs RC debates. Just the bare facts on what will be required in addition to these two kits.
Another point of interest is the driveline issues with the 3.25. Will this be an issue due to daily usage and driveline "tilt" due to lift, or is most driveline damage linked to flex in offroad conditions. This rig is a DD with occasional fireroad blitzing.
Pics of similar lift configurations with 33's & 35's with description of personal set up would be appreciated
The Victim: 09 Sahara 2Dr 6Sp 3.73 Gearing
Thanx In Advance

I put on the RC 2.5 coil lift w/ 2.2 shocks a little over a month ago. I know a lot people on the forum prefer other lifts, but there are also lots that like the RC, so whatever - It's my DD and I'm not off road a lot. Here's what I've added, and it seems the 2.5 spacer kit comes with this stuff ??? so why didn't RC just add these to the coil lift too......mm I may never know
So,
- Rear sway bar links, moved the factory rear to the front. I have elec disco sway bar, so I'm assuming the rear links are fine up front.
- Cheap extension for the rear brake lines (mending plates)
- Rear track bar bracket - haven't installed it yet, the axle seems pretty centered
And I added 34" tires, they seems to do ok with the 3.73, or 33's would be good too. I think 35's would be too big

Why not start in the FAQ's?
Perhaps this one:
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
The bare bone fact is that nothing else is required.
If off-centered axles bug you, get brackets or adjustables. Required? No...
If flighty handling and bumpsteer annoy you, get cams/new fixed arms/new adjustable arms. Required? No...
If your swaybars are angled too far down, there is a chance of flipping around backward when flexed/on a lift, which may damage some components. Are new links required? No...
Those shocks have integrated bumpstops. Will they keep your coils from over-compressing? Will they keep the tires off the fenders? You tell us. Are new/additional bumpstops Required? No...
People are reporting losing driveshafts will lower lift heights than either of these kits. Will you? No clue. Required? No...
Your brake lines may be tight when flexed. Are new lines or brackets required? No...
A lot of No's there, but YOU have to decide what is or is not REQUIRED for you...

i have the 3.25 r/c lift on my rubi...if you do get this lift make sure you take the time to straighten out the front brake lines if on a budget..be careful not to kink the line's..if you have the $ buy the braided longer brake lines...
now i also extended the diff.breather lines..due to the lift when you flex they might be pulled off your diff.'s and if you are mudding or crossing water it will contaminate you diff.oil....now i know in time i will need a custom rear driveshaft, due to the fact that my jk gets offroaded and is my daily driver...
so far i have not flexed the jk to the point of breaking the boot on my rear driveshaft yet...but i know this will happen due to the size of the lift, and the way i offrroad the jk....i have driven my jk with the lift for 1000 miles already and have no complaints...i love the way it ride's...
