Let me re-phrase the question-

Has anyone ever done business with Rebel Offroad in Lake Forest? I have been dealing with Bond on my build and he seems like a cool cat (Although he did try to talk me out of the AEV 4.5"). They had some really nice Jeeps there as well. Curios to see if anyone has done work there.

I have never dealt with them but I have heard good things. I drive by their shop everyday on my way to work. They have some sweet jeeps.

I find that place sketchy...they tried to steal my business away from Dave @ Northridge thru facebook. I made a status about rigid LEDs I was about to get from Northridge and then bonds account...(later I found out it isn't even bond that runs the account with his name)...im-ed me saying don't go thru Northridge they suck we will hook you up....sooo...,i dont know. But I wouldnt do business with them

^^ Really nothing wrong with that at all in my book. I would love if shops fought over my business with lower prices.

It was sketchy in my honest opinion because of how they acted. When I called and asked for bond, because I had been facebooking with him. They told me bond doesn't have facebook privileges. When I said well I was talking to "bond gilmer" they said ya that one of our parts guys on his page. I find it a little weird that they would have someone posing as bond on facebook and that the guy says stuff like "I'm the owner of rebel Offroad. We are a great company I can hook you up with great deal" when he isn't actually bond. Kinda messed up in my honest opinion

Just because a guy is too busy to be facebooking someone about a set of $200 lights doesnt mean that its a bad place to get an install done. I have a ton of buddies who go through rebel off-road with nothing but great results. For the OP though i would be sketched out if 2 shops were trying to talk me out of a lift... Wonder why they dont like the AEV?

Bond said everything is a bolt on and the bolts come loose on that kit (Didnt make much sense to me) and I would need to come in every so often to have everything tightened. I dont plan on any rock crawling, just taking up to big bear for snow trips/my mastiff hauler.

Well it seems like you dont have any issues with money so why not put on what they recommend? What size tires are you planning on running? I think most people have issues with the brackets that come with the AEV kits. I know if i had unlimited funds my jeep would be the sh!t. Even if I wouldnt use it the way it could be used. Not trying to talk you out of anything but my .02 is, if two companies were trying to talk me out of something I would go in a different direction.

What issues?? I just read where people that don't own it complain about the "massive" loss of ground clearance. Please elaborate as the AEV kit is at the top of my list.
